Shuaa Global Group for Investments is a diverse set of industry leading companies in fields such as global financial trading, contracting, IT, management, oil & petroleum solutions, and medical services from disposables to full hospital construction.

Since its founding in 1890 by Mr. Kanbar – Agha in Baghdad, the firm started its business activities as a wholesaler of necessary agricultural products for the industry.  The trading size of this firm expanded to cover most of Iraq, and emerged as the leading company in this line of business.

In 1933, the firm had participated in the first industrial and agricultural fair and was one of the major participants that made this important event a success.

Also in 1933, the founder (Mr. Kanbar – Agha) had established another line of products, by establishing a shoe factory which was considered the #1 shoe factory in Iraq.  In their factory, the owners used the latest in machine and production process technology.

Late in 1946, the industry activity has expanded to establish Baghdad Mechanical Gypsum Company.  The factory covered a wide range of products including micronized calcium carbonite.  It was the first and only factory at that time to produce these important items, which were needed for the industry and other applications.

The important products that the factory produced played a key role in the development and building of Iraq, as well as the surrounding countries.  Their dedication to innovation and development lead to years of productivity and success.

In the year 1964, the Baghdad Building Chemicals factory was established. The factory produced the latest in building and construction products, i.e.: concrete additives, water proofing, bonding, agents, etc…

In 1965, the Al- Helal Paints factory was established in a cooperation with the leaders in this industry from around the world. The factory brand of Red Rose became a well known brand in Iraq.

In 1977, another factory was established which produced polymers.  The factory worked under a production license from one of the leaders (Crown) in this industry in the UK.  The polymer production size reached over 4000 tons/year!
